"Nokia? Aren't they that company that makes flip phones? I remember my first Nokia! I could play snake on it!" Oh Nokia... your fall from grace has been incredible. At one point you were the top of the world and now you're... well... the quote above pretty much sums it up. Sure, Europeans love your Symbian operating system. Sure, you probably sell lots of those phones to blond-haired, blue-eyed Fins across Scandinavia. But the truth is, I live in the United States - a land where you've been missing (but not necessarily "missed") for years. We've replaced you with iPhones, Samsungs, HTC's, LG's, ZTE's, Pantechs, Motorolas, and even Blackberrys. You've become unnecessary to us.
But you'd like to change that wouldn't you? You've really gone all out this time too. You've partnered with a company that you believe (and I honestly hope) has a really good chance of succeeding as the next big operating system for smartphones. I can't say I blame you. Symbian didn't do well, but Windows Phone!? Heck yes! It's easy to use and it's unique! I'd have fallen in love too. I worry though, since you're not the only company making Windows Phones. How are you going to stand out from the crowd? (Reader, you can find out by reading the full review).
